TDI Cave Stage Diver

The “TDI Stage Cave Diver” course is an advanced cave diving program designed for divers already certified as Full Cave Divers, wishing to extend their dive times and/or increase their penetration distances using "Stage" bottles.

You will learn to plan dives with more sophisticated gas management and extended dive times, as well as to use different mounting and configuration techniques for the bottles, depending on the characteristics of the environment. A good mindset, stress recognition and management, as well as the development of a high level of awareness, are essential elements in technical diving and cave diving. As penetration distances, dive times, and exposure to cold and fatigue increase, new challenges arise, and divers approach their physiological and psychological limits.

The "Stage" bottles will be securely placed and arranged along the guideline, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation in this course.

Students will learn to plan more complex dives, considering the following elements:

  • Advanced gas management procedures with a third bottle
  • Principles of redundancy related to the use of a third bottle (or more)
  • Proper mounting and configuration of "Stage" bottles
  • Correct placement of dive bottles along the guideline
  • Recovering "Stage" bottles in all conditions, including low visibility
  • Problem-solving
