Training

Various Tech training courses are available with me. The training is performance based. We can work together on the following programs:

  • TDI Intro to Tech Diver
  • TDI Nitrox Diver
  • TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver
  • TDI Decompression Procedures Diver
  • TDI Extended Range DiverTDI Cave Stage Diver
  • TDI Cavern Diver
  • TDI Intro to Cave Diver
  • TDI Full Cave Diver
  • TDI Stage Cave Diver

Before starting training in cave diving and/or technical diving, it is essential to master the fundamental skills, techniques, and procedures associated with diving using a redundant configuration, whether it be back-mounted or side-mounted. Once you have acquired the basic skills and mastered the redundant configuration, you are ready to begin your training, whether in cave diving or deep technical diving with or without decompression. Students must also be certified to dive with Nitrox, or this certification can be obtained simultaneously with the basic course.

DURATION (Explanation of the term "performance-based training")

The duration of the course and the number of dives required depend on the students' performance. I will train you until you are fully prepared to plan and conduct dives independently with a buddy, without supervision.

It is not enough to simply execute the techniques. Students must demonstrate a high level of mastery in the following areas:

  • Fundamental skills (breathing, buoyancy control, trim, propulsion, and positioning)
  • Dive planning (reading maps, navigation, route, gas needs and limitations, caution in underground environments)
  • Awareness (self-awareness, overall awareness, and situational awareness)
  • Team dynamics (active and passive communication, positioning, pacing, and placement)
  • Mindset (positive motivation, caution in cave environments, risk assessment)
  • Stress recognition and management (ability to act rationally under stress).

The assessment of these skills is, of course, somewhat subjective and relies on my perception as an instructor. I pay attention to the efforts made by my students during these demanding courses. While I set high standards, I will accompany you and guide you to achieve them as quickly as possible, prioritizing quality and safety.
