Our dives in the cenotes for recreational divers
Explore the Mysteries of the Mayans! This fascinating system of galleries was submerged when the sea level rose, causing saltwater to flow into the deepest caverns, thus pushing the freshwater upwards. The boundary between these two types of water is called the "Halocline." When crossing this layer, the waters mix, temporarily altering visibility. The collapse of underground vaults created openings, forming cenotes, sacred places for the Mayans and precious water sources that reveal the mysteries of these underground labyrinths. The beauty of these cenotes is striking: the water, crystal clear due to the natural filtration of the limestone plateau, is also pleasantly warm, making the exploration of these caves even more captivating.
