A shallow reef with amazing formations of Brain Coral (hence the name),
rocky canyons and overhangs, very atmospheric and a bit different from
most of the other local reefs. No current, so a great site for any
level, also perfect for Navigation Specialty dives. Often the 2nd dive
after Los Arcos or the Green Wall, as it's close by.

winter months.

Medium to strong current: fold your arms and enjoy the ride!
A carpet reef of corals and sponges gently sloping downwards. Usually
we stay between 16-18m
Filefish, Trunkfish, Angelfish, Cornetfish, Porcupinefish, Reef Squid
and Morays can all be seen, but the main things to look out for are the
Hawksbill Turtles that live all along this reef. Relaxed around divers,
you can experience close encounters with these turtles. Also in the
summer months a school of giant Tarpoons, many as big as a diver, lives
on the reef, and you can often find yourself surrounded by these huge
but harmless fish - in the cooler months Bull Sharks are sighted quite
regularly...an unforgettable and very popular dive for all experience
levels.

Medium to strong current
Sunk deliberately for divers, the Mama Viña is a passenger ferry boat
about 30 m long. A real 'fun' dive for divers with some experience, as
the current can sometimes be strong as you approach the wreck. Although
the wreck cannot be penetrated, there are various swim-through room and
corridors, ladders and hatches. Many groups of small fish live inside
the wreck, often attracting the attention of a large barracuda. Groups
of Atlantic Spadefish and Jacks can be seen all around the wreck.

25 minutes to the south, this site sees few divers but has a fantastic
reef sloping down from 22 to 30 metres - a medium current makes this a
perfect place for a multi-level drift dive.
